Privacy Policy

D3SIGN is based in Toronto, Ontario. We are responsible for the personal information we collect through this website.

Rob Dittmer, owner, is accountable for how D3SIGN handles personal information. Questions, requests and concerns go to him at rob@threedesign.ca.

We collect only what you choose to send us through one of the website’s forms:

• Contact form — your name, email address and message, and, if you add them, an event date and location.
• Homepage form — your name, email address and message, and, if you add one, an event date.
• Chandelier form — your name and email address, and, if you add them, a phone number, an event date, and the pieces you are asking about with a quantity for each.

Please do not include sensitive information — health, financial or identity documents — in a message. We do not need it to answer an inquiry.

Like any website, ours is served by a hosting provider that automatically processes technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request — in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use it to identify you.

We use the information you send for one purpose: to read and answer your inquiry, including any follow-up conversation about your project, event or chandelier rental.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing because you contacted us.

By sending a form, you agree to our using your information as this policy describes. You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to rob@threedesign.ca; we will then stop using your information, unless the law requires us to keep it.

We rely on a small number of companies to run this website and receive your messages. They handle your information on our behalf and only to provide their service:

• Vercel hosts the website.
• Resend delivers each form submission to us as an email.
• Google (Google Workspace) provides the mailbox in which we receive and answer inquiries.

The website does not keep form submissions in a database of its own; each one is sent to us as an email.

Instagram. Pages that show our Instagram posts load the photographs directly from servers run by Meta, Instagram’s owner. When that happens, your browser shares technical information such as your IP address with Meta, under Meta’s own privacy policy. Links to our Instagram account take you to Instagram, which has its own privacy policy.

We may also disclose personal information where the law requires it.

Our service providers store and process information in the United States and may do so in other countries. While it is there, it is subject to the laws of those countries and may be accessed by their courts, law enforcement and national security authorities.

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking pixels. Apart from the Instagram photographs described above, it loads nothing from other companies’ servers.

We keep inquiry emails for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, and then delete them — unless you become a client and the information becomes part of records we are required by law to keep for longer.

Everything you send through this website travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Inquiries are read only by the people at D3SIGN who answer them, in an access-controlled mailbox. Our website’s logs do not record what you write in a form. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. If a breach ever created a real risk of significant harm to you, we would notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, as the law requires.

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, how we have used it and with whom it has been shared; ask us to correct it; or ask us to delete it. Write to rob@threedesign.ca. We will answer within 30 days, and may ask you to confirm your identity first.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
